Founded in May 2017 by three independent Black creatives, DA SPOT NYC is a Brooklyn based retail space and creative hub that amplifies the talents of over 200 historically underrepresented brands. What began in a humble 100sqft. retail space in Dumbo has grown into a cultural anchor in Downtown Brooklyn, showcasing locally made clothing, art, accessories, jewelry, home goods, and lifestyle products that reflect the richness and creativity of our community.

Located at City Point BKLYN in Albee Square, DA SPOT NYC is one of the longest standing small businesses in the retail center, serving Brooklyn’s creative community for over seven years.

DA SPOT is a nationally recognized, award winning business. We have been honored with multiple competitive grants and fellowships, including support from Goldman Sachs 10KSB, SheaMoisture, McBride Sisters, Citi Trends, FedEx x Hello Alice, Comcast, Spectrum Reach, Verizon Digital Ready, Hello Skip, 1010 Wins and more. We were named Minority Small Business Champions by the U.S. Small Business Administration for our community impact and economic leadership, honored by the Brooklyn District Attorney, and Brooklyn Borough President, Antonio Reynoso.

We are proud DOE vendors, providing both custom merchandise and entrepreneurship programming to schools across New York City. Our custom printing clients include the New York Knicks, Pfizer, Sesame Street, Paul Weiss, Lululemon and more. We have also collaborated with Brooklyn Org for the "Brooklyn Backs Brooklyn" and "Show Brooklyn Some Love" campaigns, Penguin Random House for All Ways Black, created exclusive pieces for the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop, Sotheby’s, and the Met Gala as commissioned by Diageo. Our partnership with Mastercard has spanned national campaigns and business empowerment initiatives, highlighting our commitment to elevating diverse founders and building generational wealth.

DA SPOT’s work has been featured in Essence, EBONY, Spectrum Reach, Mastercard’s Strivers and Priceless campaigns, the TCS New York City Marathon, and other platforms that highlight our leadership and community impact.

Our impact goes far beyond retail. DA SPOT has poured more than 950K back into the pockets of small businesses through our store and through our signature Black Creatives and Culture Festival, which has featured over 500 independent brands. We regularly host workshops, business panels, pitch competitions, creative classes, and community centered events that inform, inspire, and strengthen the creative economy.

More than a retail space, DA SPOT NYC is an economic connector, a cultural incubator, and a welcoming home for creatives and conscious shoppers who believe in supporting purpose driven brands.
